Statistics Ph.D. student Kaihao Jing has been awarded a fellowship for the 2026-27 academic year from Citadel Securities. A gold-level partner with Berkeley Statistics' Industry Alliance Program, Citadel is one of the world's leading securities firms. Citadel's CEO is Peng Zhao, a 2006 graduate of Berkeley's Statistics program, advised by Distinguished Professor Bin Yu. 

Jing is a third-year Ph.D. student advised by Shirshendu Ganguly, whose research focuses on probability and its interaction with statistical physics. Jing obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China, advised by Xinyi Li and Dangzheng Liu.
