Newly funded NSF project: geoscience and statistical questions join software development

UC Berkeley Professors Fernando Pérez and Laurel Larsen (Geography) and team-members Lindsey Heagy, Chris Holdgraf, and Yuvi Panda, were awarded an NSF Earth Cube grant for their project “Jupyter meets the Earth: Enabling discovery in geoscience through interactive computing at scale.” This project is in partnership with Joe Hamman and Kevin Paul at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, CO. A more detailed description of the project alongside the original grant proposal can be found on this blog post by Heagy and Pérez.
