Congratulations, Fall 2024 Transfer Admits!
- Fall 2024 Transfer Students Admitted to Statistics
-
Transfer students admitted to Statistics in the Fall 2024 semester are already declared and will need to meet the lower division and upper division requirements to complete the Statistics major. The major consists of five lower division and nine upper division courses. The CDSS college requirements are still under review and will be finalized soon. Please refer to the sample plans that are on the “transfer sample program plans” tab to get a better idea of when to take your major coursework
- Fall 2024 Transfer Students Admitted to Another Major and Interested in Declaring Statistics
-
Students who were not admitted to the Statistics major and are interested in switching to Statistics or adding Statistics as a second major will need to apply for the major through the Change in College or Simultaneous Degree Application process which will involve a comprehensive review. The details and procedure of the comprehensive review process are still being determined and should be announced in Summer 2024. Please check the CDSS FAQ page this summer for any updates. We expect the Statistics major to be fairly open and encourage students interested in the major to connect with us by filling out thisFall 2024 Transfer Student Information Request Form

Determining if Transfer Course Work Satisfy Major/Minor Requirements
- Math Prerequisites
-
- Refer to the Math Department information regarding equivalence of high school exam credit
- Refer to the Math Department Course Equivalency information to check equivalency of college courses from other institutions
- Statistics Courses
-
- AP Statistics Credit: a 3 or higher on the AP Statistics Exam may waive a student out of Stat 2. Stat 2 does not satisfy a Statistics major prerequisite. Students should check with their intended major department to see if AP credit is accepted for the major.
