Registration to participate in the Statistics Commencement - Deadline April 06, 2026

If you would like to participate in this year's Statistics MA/PhD Commencement Ceremony, you must submit the Statistics Commencement Registration Form (must be logged into Berkeley account) by April 06, 2026.

Please note that the Statistics Department Commencement Ceremony is separate from the campus-wide Commencement Ceremony. For more information regarding the general campus-wide Commencement, please visit their website.

Eligibility for Participation

All Statistics and Biostatistics students graduating Fall 2025-Fall 2026 are eligible to participate in the Statistics Commencement Ceremony. This includes those who graduated in Fall 2025 and those who intend to graduate in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2026.

Undergraduates of the Statistics Department graduating in F25, SP26, SUM26, or F26 are eligible to participate in one of the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS) commencement ceremonies: Friday, May 22, 2026 either 9am or 2pm. See the CDSS Commencement 2026 page.

Eligible graduates should have received an email invitation to register. Contact stat-ugrad@berkeley.edu if you think you are eligible but did not receive the email.

Accessibility

The Statistics Department wants to make the commencement as accessible as possible to you and your guests. If you or friends/family members who are attending the commencement require accommodations for a disability (for example, sign language interpreting, real-time captioning, wheelchair space, etc.), please be sure to indicate this on the Commencement Registration Form.

International Students: Inviting Relatives and Friends

If you wish to invite international guests to come to the U.S. for your commencement, email your Student Services Program Advisor to obtain a verification letter.  Be sure to include the family member name(s) and relationship(s) to you.  For more information, please visit the Berkeley International Office. Please note that you as the graduating student would provide the invitation letter and the Statistics Department would only provide supporting documentation to verify the date and time of the ceremony and to confirm your participation in it.

Graduation Regalia (Cap & Gown)

Campus has partnered with Herff Jones to provide graduation regalia, which can be rented or purchased.
