This talk will focus on Wigner’s theorem, regarding the asymptotics of the distribution of eigenvalues of real Wigner matrices. Wigner matrices are a class of symmetric, random matrices which arise from physics. In the limit as N rises, the empirical distribution of eigenvalues of N × N Wigner matrices goes weakly to the semicircle distribution, whose even moments are the Catalan numbers. This...
