Tracy and Widom recently provided certain exact formulas for a particular discrete growth process. Using Bertini and Giacomin's approach we see that by taking suitable "weakly asymmetric" scaling limits of these exact formulas, it is possible to derive the exact one-point distribution function formula for the solution to the KPZ equation.
