Abstract: The proposed Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) project (www.lsst.org) has several research collaboration teams that support science planning for future operations (2016-2026). Most of these teams are are focused on traditional astronomical research subdisciplines. The newest research team is moving in a new direction: Data Sciences.
