I will discuss the long time behavior of a model for diffusion constrained by a double well potential. After scaling of time, the 1-dimensional marginals of the process converge to a two state Markov chain determined by a limit of Kramers-Smoluchowski equations. I will describe the convergence of these equations in the context of the model.
