Everett has had several careers in software, data science, nonprofits, and academic psychology. All roles revolved, in one way or another, around empowering people to lead fulfilling lives. Teaching was always his favorite part of any job, as involves both intellectual challenge and sincere human connection. In science and math in particular, he has seen too many instructors teach only the mechanics of the work, failing to communicate the wonder and joy and meaning embedded within. Everett is both very candid and soft-hearted, and especially cherishes working 1-1 with students and research assistants.
